Overland Tibet Tour Detailed Itinerary
Day 01 Arrive Lhasa (3650m)
Arrive Lhasa by train from China side or fly from Kathmandu. Warm welcome by our Tibetan Guide, either train station or Airport as per your suitable destination. Transfer to the Lhasa city at your Tibetan style Hotel. Check in to the Hotel then free afternoon for acclimatization at your 1st day of the Tibet Overland tour. O/n Hotel.
Day 02-03 Lhasa (3650m)
On this second day morning of Tibet overland tour, two full days sightseeing tour to Lhasa including Jokhang Temple, Bazaar, Potala Palace Drepung & Sera Monasteries. Over night at hotel.
Day 04 Lhasa - Gyantse (3950m)
Full day picturesque drive crossing over karola (5010m), Kambala (4794m), colorful Yamdrok Lake and the Tibetan lifeline river Brahma Putra (Yarlung Tsangpo). Over night at Hotel.
Day 05 Gyantse - Shigatse (3900m)
Sightseeing Tour of Kumbum Stupa & Phalkor Monastry afternoon Panchen Lama's Tashilhumpu Monastery. O/n Hotel at Shigatse.
Day 06 Shigatse - Lhatse (4350m)
Continue scenic drive crossing over Gyatchu La (5220m), the Highest passes en-route to Lhasa via Lhatse from where a road to the MT. Kailash bifurcates to the west. Over night at Hotel.
Day 07 Lhatse - Nyalam (3700m)
Drive down to another Tibetan Village Nyalam. O/n Hotel.
Day 08 Nyalam - Kathmandu (1300m)
Today is the day to enter Nepal from Tibet of this Tibet Overland tour. We will leave Zhangmu in the morning and head to the Nepalese border. The Friendship Bridge lies at the Border of China and Nepal and is only a few kilometers from Zhangmu. It spans the impressive Bhote Koshi River. Sadly we must say goodbye to our Tibetan guide and driver at this point. Our Nepalese staff will meet you at the immigration Control in Kodari and help with all the reentry formalities. The city of Kathmandu, our end destination, lies only five hours to the south. O/n Hotel.
Day 09 Kathmandu Sightseeing - Nagarkot
After Breakfast sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath temple the holiest Hindu Temple on the bank of Bagmati River. Cremation services take place on the banks of Bagmati River. Then proceed to the tour of The biggest of the Buddhist Stupa architecture. Erected in the 7th century and is believed to be a "must visit" pilgrimage site for Buddhist in their lifetime. Boudhanath area is densely inhabited by Tibetan refugees and carries the name as Little Tibet. Then after Sightseeing Tour of Bhaktapur City is just a 14 kms east of Kathmandu. Bhaktapur means the city of devotees and is a center of potter and intriguing masks. The major sight seeing places are, Durbar Square, of 55 windows, Nyatapola, Bhairavnath Temple, Dattatreya Temple etc. Evening drive to Nagarkot. Sun Set View will be viewed from the Hotel. O/n at Hotel Country Villa a nice Resort.
Day 10 Nagarkot - Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour
Early morning beautiful Sunrise View including Mt. Everest View can be seen from the Hote. After Breakfast sightseeing Tour of Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) and Kathmandu Durbar Square where you will visit Kumari -the Living Goddess of Nepal, Legendary Kasthamandap Temple, Hanuman Dhoka Palace and many other shrines. You will proceed to Tour of Patan City to have a look and study many beautiful and interesting arts and architecture and historic and cultural phenomena. O/n at Hotel.
Day 11 Departure
Transfer to the Airport for the final Departure.
