Detailed Itinerary Day 01 Arrival Lhasa Arrive Lhasa by train from China side or fly from Kathmandu. Warm welcome by our Tibetan Guide, either train station or Airport as per your suitable destination. Transfer to the Lhasa city at your Tibetan style Hotel. Check in to the Hotel then free afternoon for acclimatization. O/n Hotel.
Day 02 Sightseeing Tour in Lhasa Morning visit: The first day sightseeing begins with Lhasa's cardinal landmark- Potala Palace, a structure of massive portions. Its towering image already appears on various occasions, but your first sight of the Potala will still be an awe-inspiring moment. It takes around 2-hours to visit those rooms, halls and chapels. Afternoon visit Jokhang Temple: about 2km to the east of the Potala is the most revered religious structure in Tibet- Jokhang Temple. Bustling with worshippers and redolent with mystery, the tour in Jokhang is an unrivalled experience. The quadrangle of streets surrounding the Jokhang is the Barkhor -Lhasa's most interesting pilgrimage circuit. This area of the Old Town is both the spiritual heart of Lhasa and the main commercial district for Tibetans.
Day 03 Sightseeing Tour in Lhasa Today we are going to visit Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery.About 8km west of central Lhasa is the Drepung, once world's largest monastery with about 10,000 monks. This day's sightseeing begins with these white monastic buildings piled up on the hillside. Walking up to the hill is a pleasant thing, an easy break from the solemn ambience inside the halls and chapels. At the plat roof of hillside, you can have very good views of the whole Lhasa city and the distant mountains.Drepung is one of Lhasa's two great Gelugpa monasteries, the other is Sera. Around 5km north of central Lhasa, Sera may not be as grandiose as Drepung, but is more serene surrounded by many small temples. The 'Buddhism Scriptures Debating' in Sera is very famous. Please be aware of that above sightseeing programs in Lhasa are flexible except for Potala visit the entry time for which can be known only around half day beforehand.
Day 04 Lhasa - Samye Monestery - Tsetang Today we will go through the Gangpo Ri Mountain on the way to Tsetang cross the widest part of River Brahmaputra and visit the first Monastery in Tibet -Samye Monastery, 2 hours on a local boat just to cross the River and another half an hour by local tractor or truck to get to Samye Monastery. The day will end in the third largest city of Tibet, Tsetang. Check in hotel
Day 05 Tsetang - Yarlung Valley - Tsetang Visit the Valley of the old civilization, Yarlung Valley, This majestic area is widely believed to be the cradle of Tibet civilization, the birth place of Tibetan culture. A birds� eye view from the Yumbulagang Palace, an amazing architectural site perched on a cliff give you most wonders of how ancient Tibetan People live in such a peaceful wide open valley. A visit to Tombs of Tibetan kings, the massive burial grounds and unique antique looking Tramdruk Monastery leave you a dream of its passed glory. It is one of the oldest buildings in all of Tibet! You will spend your last night sleeping well back in Tsetang.
Day 06 Fly Kathmandu or Omward Your Trip Via China Experience the wondrous sight of the Himalayas for one last time as we fly back to Katmandu or you can extend your next Trip via china by Train or Air.
