Langtang Helambu Trekking, Nepal Langtang trekking combines the remote and spectacular valley of Langtang, with the high mountain lakes at Gosainkund and the beautiful Helambu Valley. Visit the beautiful Langtang National park and then trek to the end of the valley to view the wonderful ice flutes of Gyangchempo. Langtang Helambu trek about 72 kilometers northeast of Kathmandu is noted for its scenic grandeur and pleasant climate. The Helambu region, extending from north of Taramarang to the tree limit of the Gosainkunda Lake and lower slopes of Jugal Himal, has several highland Tamang and Sherpa villages, scattered on both sides of the Malemchi Khola. This trek is rated as an easier trekking because the elevations are lower, ranging between 800m. and 3600m. which indicates less climbing and warmer temperatures. One advantage to this trek is there are fewer trekkers here than on the Annapurna trek and some parts of the Everest trekking, but there is still a wide range of cultures and spectacular scenery. Langtang Trekking Detailed Itinerary Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu Upon arrival in Kathmandu meet our representative at the airport and transfer to hotel. Short Briefing of your Nepal Trek. Check in to the Hotel. Rest for free Afternoon. O/n at Hotel.
Day 02 Kathmandu After Breakfast sightseeing Tour to Shyambhunath Stupa, Where you can see a lots of monkeys & beautiful view of Kathmandu Valley. This old stupa called by Monkey Temple as well. Bouddhanath Stupa, second biggest Stupa in the world & Pashupatinath Temple, famous Hindus Temple. In the afternoon prepare for Trekking. O/n at Hotel.
Day 03 Kathmandu - Chisopani(2194m) After Breakfast 40 min. drive to Sundarijal (1300m). And trek start, after around 4hrs walkthrough Jungle & Village you will reach to Chisopani (2194m). O/n Trekkers lodge.
Day 04 Chisopani - Kutumsang(2446m) After Breakfast 3 hrs Trek to Chipling through the village & terrace field where you can enjoy your Lunch with view of Himalayas in a local Trekkers Restaurant. After the Lunch again 3hrs Trek through the Himalayan villages, way of up a down then reach to Khutumsang (2446m). O/n Trekkers Lodge.
Day 05 Kutumsang - Tharepati (3597m) Today 5 hrs Trek all they way up, through the jungle then reaching to Tharepati (3597m). O/n Trekkers Lodge.
Day 06 Tharepani - Tarke Gyang (25600m) Today 2 hrs Trek downhill to Melanchi gaun this is the last village of Helambu , where we can have Lunch there in Local Restaurant. After Lunch heading 4hrs down & up through the village & Jungle reach to Tarke Gyang (2560m).O/n Trekkers Lodge.
Day 07 Tarke Gyang This day can Explore TARKEGYANG village, try to hike up to YANGRIMA PEAK (4041m); you can enjoy the beautiful Mountain views from there. This Peak is symbol of Goddess for local people. People use to pray there.
Day 08 Tarke Gyang - Shermathang (2621m) After Breakfast start our 4 hrs Trek to Shermathang (2621m) through the village & jungle, where can have Lunch & stop over night at Trekkers Lodge.
Day 09 Shermathang - Kathmandu 3hrs Trek down to Melamchipul Bazaar (846m), and 4hrs drive by local bus back to Kathmandu
Day 10 Kathmandu Free Day on your own for shopping or hanging around the city. O/n Hotel.
Day 11 Departure We will transfer to Airport for final departure for your next destination.
Important Note Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary but as this is adventure travel in a remote mountain region we cannot guarantee it! Weather conditions availability of porters and the health of Trekkers can all contribute to changes. The guides and their Sherpa assistants will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if necessary.
Food & Accommodation Lodge Trek we provide Trekkers lodge as accommodation which is normally simple, neat & clean. We provide your meals as simple Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner at Trekkers Restaurant. And Camping Trek You are accommodated in tents whilst on trek. We usually camp near village. We have our own cook team who will do all the cooking on trek. This also ensures that we have good control over hygiene.
Experience Required Langtang Helambu Trek is suitable for keen walkers who are able to walk for 5 - 6 hours in a day, with a light rucksack. Some of the days are |
