Kachanjunga North Base Camp
Kanchenjunga, the world's third highest mountain, lies on Nepal's eastern border with Sikkim. On trekking along the challenging trails amid the mesmerizing vistas of Kanchenjunga, we get to witness exotic wilderness. This wonderful trek begins and ends at the small airstrip at Sukhetar [Taplejung], which lies in the remote north east corner of Nepal. It takes you through fascinating villages and pristine forests to the awe-inspiring South Face Base Camp at Ramche, before crossing the Mirgin La to the north side of Kanchenjunga and the Pang Pema base camp. As trekkers skirt through this amazing adventurous and exploratory trail, they attain a glorious and unforgettable experience.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 01 Welcome to Kathmandu
Arrive Kathmandu airport, you will be met and transferred to your Hotel. O/n at Hotel.

Day 02 Kathmandu
After Breakfast sightseeing Tour to Shyambhunath Stupa, Where you can see a lots of monkeys & beautiful view of Kathmandu Valley. This old stupa called by Monkey Temple as well. Bouddhanath Stupa, second biggest Stupa in the world & Pashupatinath Temple, famous Hindus Temple. In the afternoon prepare for Trekking. O/n at Hotel.

Day 03 Kathmandu - Basantapur
From Kathmandu you have a scenic flight to Biratnagar and from Biratnagar drive to Basantapur.

Day 04 Basantapur - Chauki (2700m)
The trek start through the rhododendron forest with the super views of Arun Kosi, Tamur Kosi and Makalu and reaches to Tude Deorali. Then the trail climbs through Phedi and reaches to Chauki. O/N at Chauki.

Day 05 Chauki - Gupa Pokhari (2930m)
After some ups and down through Manglebare, Srimani and Balukop, the trail reaches two small lakes at Lamo Pokhari. Then it forwards passing bamboo huts at Koranghatar and reach to more lakes at Gupa Pokhari. O/N at Gupa Pokhari.

Day 06 Gupa Pokhari - Nesum (1620m)
From Gupa Pokhari the trail leaves Milka Danda and then reaches to Akhar Deorali (3200m). From here the trail makes ups and downs en route to Buje Deorali, climbs up to Mul Pokhari and reaches to Gurja (2000m), finally gets to Nesum. O/N at Nesum.

Day 07 Nesum - Thumma
Crossing the suspension bridge you will get into Doban (640m) then the trail meets the Tamur Kosi. Crossing Tamur Kosi on a suspension bridge at Doban the trail follows the east-bank, passing through tropical forests, climbing above the river and sometimes on the river bank you will reach to Thumma.O/N at Thumma.

Day 08 Thumma - Chirwa (1190m)
Passing the settlements of Siwa, Tawa and Porke you will reach to Chirwa, a pleasant bazaar with a few bhattis and shops. If you take a look at the village water supply system, you will see the elaborate setup of bamboo tubes pipes and chhanels. O/N at Chirwa.

Day 09 Chirwa - Sakathum (1640m)
Leaving the Chhetri village of Tapethok the trails makes several ups and downs. Crossing Tamur Khola (river) on a suspension bridge below Helok and having a short climb and again crossing Gunsa Khola (river) on a rickety bridge you will reach to Tibetan village of Sakathum. O/N at Sakathum.

Day 10 Sakathum - Amjilassa (2490m)
Climb steeply and then drop back to the river. Then again climbing on a stone step to a waterfall and Ghaiya Bari and ascending gently you will reach to a Crest (2530m) and then descending you will reach to the Tibetan settlement of Amjilassa. O/N at Amjilassa.

Day 11 Amjilassa - Kyapra (2730m)
The trail ascents through the thriving bamboo, oak and rhododendron forest with the views of the south-western part of the Kanchenjunga and further makes many short climbs and descents and passes several waterfalls and pastures. Finally climbing steep you will reach to Kyapra. O/N at Jyapra.

Day 12 Kyapra - Gunsa (3430m)
Descending and following along the river through a fir and rhododendron forest, hiking the whole morning you will reach the potato fields of Phere. Your trek forwards through the fields and larch forest and finally you will reach to Gunsa where you will see the police check post. From Gunsa the trek to south Kanchenjunga via Lapsang La begins. O/N at Gunsa.

Day 13 Gunsa - Khambachen (4040m)
The trails makes a gradual ascent along the south bank of the Gunsa Khola (river), then crosses back to Rambuk Kharka on the north side of river and finally reach to the Tibetan settlement of Khambachen. O/N at Khambachen.

Day 14 Acclimatization on Khambachen
In Khambachen there are views of the high peaks of Khabur (6332), Phole (6645m), Nango Ma and Jannu. After having breakfast climb a ridge above the village for more views, or take a day hike to the Jannu Base camp. Back to your Camp. O/N at Khambachen.

Day 15 Khambachen - Lonak (4790m)
The trail climbs gradually through open fields to Ramtabg (4240m), then across moraines north-west of the Kanchenjunga Glacier and finally you will reach to Lhonak. From here you will have the beautiful mountain views abound in all directions. O/n at Lhonak.

Day 16 Lonak - Pang Pema (5140m)
From Lhonak, the trail ascends gradually across the plain, and then gets a bit steeper as it follows the moraine. You can drop off the moraine and follow the bottom of the valley. You can see the dramatic views on the way and reach to Pang Pema. From here you will have the view of main peak of Kanchnjunga and a panorama of others peaks that make up one of the largest mountain masses. O/N at Pang Pema.

Day 17 Pang Pema - Khambachen
Early in the morning hike up the ridge north of Pang Pema to have the views of Kanchenjunga, Wedge Peak (6750m), the Twins (7350m), Pyramid Peak (7168m) and Tent Peak (7365m) and trek back to Khambachem. O/N at Khambachen.

Day 18 Khambachen - Gunsa
Trek back to Gunsa. O/N at Gunsa.

Day 19 Gunsa - Chirwa
Trek back to Chirwa. O/N at Chirwa.

Day 20 Chirwa - Linkhim
From Chirwa start uphill, passing through Diwa village. Climb over and going steeply reach above Tawa. Dropping into a large side canyon, then climbs back to the ridge finally you will reach to Linkhim. O/N at Linkhim.

Day 21 Linkhim - Suketar
Trekking through the small Lhimbu village of Helate, Pumbur, and Phurbu and climb over the Sherpa villages of Bung Kulung and Lakchun you will reach to Suketar. O/N at Suketar.

Day 22 Suketar - Kathmandu
Fly back to Kathmandu. Hotel, B.B. O/N at Kathmandu.

Day 23 Kathmandu
Free day on your own for shopping, relax, rest or hanging around the city. O/n at Hotel.

Day 24 Departure
Transfer to Airport for your final departure.

Important Note
Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary but as this is adventure travel in a remote mountain region we cannot guarantee it! Weather conditions availability of porters and the health of Trekkers can all contribute to changes. The guides and their Sherpa assistants will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if necessary.

Food & Accommodation
Lodge Trek we provide Trekkers lodge as accommodation which is normally simple, neat & clean. We provide your meals as simple Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner at Trekkers Restaurant. And Camping Trek You are accomodated in tents whilst on trek. We usually camp near village. We have our own cook team who will do all the cooking on trek. This also ensures that we have good control over hygiene.

Experience Required
This Trek is suitable for keen walkers who are able to walk for 6 - 8 hours in a day, with a light rucksack. Some of the days are quite long, and the walking feels more strenuous at altitude. Generally the trail is a good track, but occasionally it will be uneven and rocky. There may also be some snow cover on the Trail sometime.
